Project Description:
18 tracks on the Western track ladder of the Central Train Station were existing. For supplementing the 100 years old steel support structures, integral 3-span bridges for the future 17 tracks in 7 new support structure units are planned. Two 30 m long support structures in sequence on a temporary center structure will be built to serve as supplemental bridges. The lowered depth location of the now 3-lane underpass mandates a continuous white trough. This structure will accommodate all installations of the city’s infrastructure.

Project Description:
Within the scope of the short-distance traffic project a new track arrangement with additional tracks was implemented on the existing 4-track bridge with two track switches. At the same time, the clearances were expanded and an additional bicycle path was created. The orthogonally spanning steel supports of the object had to be reduced and intercepted in order to maintain railway- as well as road traffic. This could only be achieved with the aid of a heavy overhead and slanted (more specifically, arranged parallel to the tracks) supporting steel structure. The new sub-structure rests on ductile piles whose segmentation is able to accommodate the heavy-weight horizontal loads. The three new support structures are WIB (sectional girders in concrete)- support structures with depressed height.

Project Description:
Within the framework of the short-distance traffic project a 4th track was added to the 3 existing tracks and the sub-structure was expanded (ductile piles) and retrofitted (carbon bands) on both sides. The 4 new support structures are WIB (sectional girders in concrete)- support structures, which have been partially inserted.

Project Description:
The new 3-field bridge was built at the location of the 5-field bridge with new river pile locations. A 3rd track for short-distance traffic was added. The narrowing of the Salzach during construction was demonstrated on test models at the Technical University (TU) in Graz and enabled the construction phases to continue during the winter seasons. We consulted an architect for the bridge design. The high-level design demand was implemented in the design plans. The deep foundation in the Salzach was implemented with protective rock-fill embankments, sheet pile building pits and in part, underneath the old bridge. Coffer dams made of sheet pile were used in the abutment area. Stop access points were integrated in the abutments.

Project Description:
The Eastern loop crosses the S1 speedway at a slanted 48º angel and an arch. With a support structure in the center lane and a comparably light-weight appearing T-beam across, a total of 4 fields can be achieved. A total system, incl. flexibly installed piles were entered in a 3D model, whereas the support structure was displayed as a slanted and arched support girder. The design concept of the other S1 road crossing bridges has been used to design the railway bridge piles to create an attractive, crystalline structure.
