The Flachgau and adjacent Upper Austria are scheduled to undergo significant upgrades within the next five years, including a new traffic concept. Amongst other things, the railway station Neumarkt-Köstendorf will be upgraded to a traffic hub. In cooperation with the state of Salzburg and the city of Neumarkt am Wallersee, ÖBB Immobilienmanagement (Real Estate Management) GmbH will build a Park & Ride Facility with 246 POV parking spaces.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Park & Ride Facility was scheduled for August 8, 2017 in attendance of Mayor Adi Rieger, LR Hans Mayr, Werner Baltram ÖBB und LA Josef Schöchlember. The facility is scheduled to be completed in time for the timetable change (December 9, 2017). The overall cost for this project is EUR 1.4 million.
Effective December, the new traffic hub Neumarkt-Köstendorf can be accessed from Salzburg in 20-minute intervals. The thirteenth WERNER CONSULT Summer Party took place in the gardens of the company headquarters at Leithastraße during high seasonal temperatures. The theme of the event was “a little October Fest works in June as well“, and made reference to the fact that the WERNER CONSULT Group is now represented in Munich by WINDERL Ingenieure.
Executive Directors Markus Werner and Georg Kichler were able to welcome numerous guests from their circle of business partners and commerce, as well as many friends of the company. After witty speeches, during which Mr. Manfred Winderl presented Mr. Markus Werner and Mr. Georg Kichler with rustic Octoberfest beer mugs and his designated successor, Mr. Axel Wagner, with a traditional Bavarian hat, the moto was “O’zapt is“.
The “Vanguard Quartette" featuring singer Anita Horn provided the entertaining musical background.
