On November 7, 2014, only 4 weeks after the grand opening of Vienna’s central railway station, the central railway station in Salzburg has also officially been opened after a six-year construction period.
The central train station in Salzburg is quite popular with travelers and Salzburg natives due to its attractive and inviting design. The building’s basic structure, which is under monumental protection has been ideally integrated in a modern, functional structure with modern architecture.
The design has been appropriately commended by being granted the State Award Design 2013 and European Steel Construction Award 2013 awards prior to the grand opening already.

WERNER CONSULT was active in the capacity of lead management in this project, additional information is available in our railway project section.
